Secretary’s report:
The Secretaries report was read and accepted as read.
Treasurer’s Report:
No treasures report was given at this time.
Federation Report:
The Federation has an 18’ Skeeter to raffle off. It was voted upon at the last meeting that each federation member must buy a 20 dollar raffle ticket. The Federation member is then free to do what it pleases with that ticket. They may sell the ticket or keep it. There are approximately 800 Fed members so the Fed should make 16000.00 you are allowed to purchase more than one ticket if you so choose.
All Federation trail permits have been received and are good. The Fed team trail will once again be a pay in advance trail.
The club is looking for volunteers to work the Springfield Sportsman show. It looks like Chris P. Mike T. Geoff and Rob are going to be volunteering. We will get times and dates to you as soon as we have them.
Old and New Business:
2005 Tournament:
As of this meeting all of the permits are in. One notable change is that the Big Pond tournament will be on Otis Res. Launching out of JD Marine. The only other thing we are waiting on is permission from the Auburn Fire Dept to park on their grass for the Dark Brook tournament.
The club voted to donate $100.00 to the Auburn Fire Dept. if they allow us to park on their grass.
George and Scott are checking on banquet facilities. George had heard that at Olive Oils there would be a $50 room charge if less than 30 people and a $50 bartender charge if we wanted our own bartender. Scott is checking on a restaurant in Granby he will be posting the details on the website ASAP. We need to finalize this at the March meeting so any help would be appreciated.
Paul Hachey and Marcia Hutchinson have rejoined the club. Welcome back!!
We have 24 club members. 16 Federation members, 7 Non federation, and 1 lifetime Non federation member.
George is running an open benefit tournament on Congamond June 18th. This is a team tournament and will probably be limited to 50 boats. More info as George gets it. I plan on fishing it hope others do also.
I would like to start holding "8 man team" meetings over the winter. First thing we need to do is determine who is going. I will list all the eligible members and their place. Please let us know ASAP if you are going to be able to attend or not. If anyone knows of a hotel or resort type accommodations in the Ticonderoga area please let us know as we need to book room ASAP.
George Plourde is going to purchase a new battery for the scale as Dick’s is having a sale on them. The club will reimburse George.
Also we need to get a new scale. I will work with Steve Yates on that.
All dues were due at this meeting. Everyone is paid up. We lost 2 members from last year, John Pavelscyk and Joe Bretton. The roster is now closed.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:30
Next Meeting will be: March 8th
