Monthly Meeting Minutes
November 8 2005
We discussed increasing membership dues, but tabled this until next meeting. Connie worked up a P/L statement based on current expenses and with a proposed new pay out. We where in the RED in both instances. I asked Connie to get firm numbers on a proposed budget to discuss intelligently what we should propose for new club dues.
I noted I would like to have this wrapped up for next meeting and make all club dues be paid before Jan 1st 2006.
This will allow us to determine who will be members next year and what openings we will have available for new members.
Treasurers report:
FED report.
Currently fish off will still be at Winnie. Scott indicated that Marriot may buy Ames Farm. If this happens there is a chance that the ramp will not be available for the Fed Fish off. This could potentially create a problem for the fish-off to be held on Winnie. Will keep us posted on details.
Discussed weed control issues within the FED. May have two conservation directors this year in the FED to help out efforts.
It appears Peter Mcclellan will be elected President of the FED as no one is currently running against him.
Noted we have to have our FED dues in for the next meeting which is NOV 15th. Scott received a check from Connie to pay 10 Spots. Club to be reimbursed by members before end of November. Again anyone not on the roster will need to be added by Fed director at a later date.
Banquest for FED will be December 3rd at High Top in Worcester. Please contact Scott Downie if you want a ticket and/or directions.
New business:
Jackets will be ordered for members. Anyone interested must let me or Scott Downie know before the next meeting as we will finalize by then. Club voted on getting green jackets with hoods. Similar to what was last bought. Costs are not finalized, but will be roughly between $55-$65 each. Anyone who has ordered a jacket in the past will be eligible to get a new jacket but must pay for the embroidery. This additional cost is not finalized as of yet. Anyone who is interested is encouraged to go to the next meeting or convey their desire for a jacket to Scott or myself.
Nominations for club officers was done as well. We will vote at next meeting:
President ? Steve Yates
VP/Tournament director ? Chris Perreault.
Treasurer ? Paul Hachey / Marsha / Geoff
Secretary ? Rob Lowe
Fed director ? Chris Martins ***
*** Note from Chris Martins
"I would like to note that I will respectfully decline my nomination.
Upon consideration I do not feel I will have the time available next year to do the job and devote the time needed to the club to be a worthy candidate.
It is my utmost regret to decline the nomination to this office."
Connie has resigned his position after this year as treasurer he would respectfully like to not be nominated.
Anyone interested in offices should let myself or Chris Martins know.
We encourage members to rise to the occasion.
Thanks
Steve Yates
