Meeting Minutes

September 13, 2011

Secretary Report: 

1.      Read and accepted.

2.      7 Members present at September meeting.

 

Treasurers Report:             

We clarified that the articles did not stipulate that we were a not for profit organization as noted in the August meeting minutes. Harvey needed to report our Employee number and checked the “other” box and noted that we were a not for profit organization on the W-9 form for the Scudder fund.    Checking account has a balance of $ xxxxx  and savings balance of $ xxxxx .  According to DWS investments our club is classified as a C-corporation based upon our tax ID number and instructions provided on our IRS W-9 form.  Harvey passed out winning checks for the CT River and Buffumville tournaments. 

 

Rob M. took first place at Ct. River and a check for $ 80.00.  Chris M had a check for      $120.00 taking 2nd on the Ct. River and 2nd at Buffumville.  Steve Y received a check for  $130.00 taking 1st at Buffumville and 3rd on the Ct. River, Dave C received a check for $50.00 for 3rd place at Buffumville.  Steve K had a check for $40.00 taking 4th place on the Ct. River and Nick M had a $30.00 check for taking 5th  on the Ct. River.  Daryl D had a check for 4th at Buffumville and Rob L received a $ 30.00 check for taking 5th place on Buffumville.

 

Fed Report:

No Federation report.  Peter McClellan was not at the meeting so Mike was not able to ask about getting our dues back.

 

New Business:

 

 1.  Lakes and dates for next years schedule were picked and voted on.   Club voted for Bartons Cove, Dark Brook, Monomonac, Quabog, Singletary, Webster Lake, and Candlewood.  Dates are as follows:  April 29th – Webster, May 20th or 27th – Candlewood, June 10th – Quabog, July 15th – Bartons Cove, August 12th – Dark Brook, September 16th – Singletary, October 7th – Monomonac.

 

2.  Picked launch order for Lake Congamond tournament on October 2nd.    

 

3.  Discussed banquet.   Wilbraham Country Club was discussed as an option again for this year’s banquet.  Rob Lowe will get menu and prices.  Nothing decided and was tabled to next meeting. 

 

Old Business:

 

1.       No 50 / 50 raffle was done at meeting.  Current balance is $ 00.00 as of 9/13/11. These funds going towards 2011 Night tournament pay out.
